DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT
Lane Closures Tonight on the Dulles Toll Road, Dulles International Airport Access Highway and Airport Roads – Friday, Dec. 11

Nighttime construction activities will take place on Friday, Dec. 11, causing lane closures on the Dulles Toll Road (DTR), Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) and Autopilot Drive

From 10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11 to 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, both lanes of the eastbound DIAAH between the Centreville Road overpass and the Fairfax County Parkway overpass will be diverted to the eastbound DTR for the assembly of a tower crane at the site of the Silver Line's future Herndon Station. Eastbound DIAAH traffic to the Fairfax County Parkway will be directed via signage to the Dulles Toll Road at mile marker 1.8, prior to the full detour. Eastbound DTR traffic will be restricted to the two right lanes in this area.

Lane closures on the eastbound DIAAH as it leaves the airport will begin at 9 p.m.  From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., traffic will be diverted to eastbound Aviation Drive, and then to the new ramp at the north end of Windsock Drive to access the eastbound DIAAH and the Dulles Toll Road.

Between 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the northbound and southbound lanes of Autopilot Drive from the intersection with Materials Road to just south of the Enterprise driveway will be closed to allow work to continue on the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project Aerial Guideway. Detour signage, flaggers and police will be in place to guide local and through traffic to their destination.

Please stay alert, obey all signage and drive carefully.

All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
