Important Lane and Ramp Closures for the
Week of April 2 - April 9
 
Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews are continuing road widening, lane shifting, utility work, excavation and other construction activities for the Metrorail Silver Line, Phase 2.  Lane and shoulder closures will occur along the Dulles Toll Road (DTR), Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH), Dulles Greenway, Autopilot Drive, Route 28, Sunrise Valley Drive, Sunset Hills Road and Innovation Avenue during the week of April 2 - April 9.
 
All work is weather permitting.

Dulles Toll Road (DTR) East
 
When:   Sunday, April 3 - Saturday, April 9, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:    Left lane closed
Where:  From mile marker 1.3 to 3.3 (from 1/10 mile past the Route 28 overpass to 1/10 mile before the Monroe Street overpass)
Why:     Jack and bore, duct bank work
 
When:   Sunday, April 3 - Saturday, April 9, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:    Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where:  From mile marker 3.3 to 5.2 (from 1/10 mile before the Monroe Street overpass to the Reston Parkway overpass)
Why:     Jack and bore operations
 
Dulles Toll Road (DTR) West
 
When:   Sunday, April 3 - Saturday, April 9, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Saturday, April 9 - Sunday, April 10, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:    Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where:  From mile marker 5.7 to 3.7 (from 5/10 mile before the Reston Parkway overpass to 3/10 mile before the Monroe Street overpass)
Why:     Jack and bore operations
 
When:   Sunday, April 3 - Saturday, April 9, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Saturday, April 9 - Sunday, April 10, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:    Left lane closed
Where:  From mile marker 3.5 to 1.5 (from 1/10 mile before the Monroe Street overpass to 3/10 mile before the Route 28 overpass)
Why:     Jack and bore operations
 
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) East
 
When:   Sunday, April 3 - Saturday, April 9, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Saturday, April 9 - Sunday, April 10, 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:    Left lane closed
Where:  From mile marker 0.0 to 2.3 (from Saarinen Circle to 2/10 mile before the Centreville Road overpass)
Why:     Construction entrance acceleration/deceleration lane
 
When:   Sunday, April 3 - Saturday, April 9, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m., Saturday, April 9 - Sunday, April 10, 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:    Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where:  From mile marker 3.3 to 5.3 (from 1/10 mile before the Monroe Street overpass to 1/10 mile past the Reston Parkway overpass)
Why:     Construction entrance acceleration/deceleration lane
 
When:   Sunday, April 3 - Saturday, April 9, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:    Eastbound lane reductions begin at 9 p.m.  Eastbound full lane closures begin at 10 p.m.  Road reopens at 5 a.m. Follow detour.
Where:  From Saarinen Circle to mile marker 0.4 (near the Rudder Road overpass)
Why:     Installation of a concrete span across the eastbound DIAAH. 
 
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) West
 
When:   Sunday, April 3 - Saturday, April 9, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:    Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where:  From mile marker 0.3 to 200 feet past the ramp to Copilot Way, including ramps in the vicinity (from 2/10 mile past the Rudder Road overpass to Saarinen Circle past Garage 1)
Why:    Road work
 
When:   Friday, April 8, 12 a.m. to 2 p.m.
What:    Right lane closed
Where:  From mile marker 0.3 to 200 feet past the ramp to Copilot Way, including ramps in the vicinity (from 2/10 mile past the Rudder Road overpass to Saarinen Circle past Garage 1)
Why:    Concrete pour
 
When:   Sunday, April 3 - Saturday, April 9, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Saturday, April 9 - Sunday, April 10, 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:    Left lane closed
Where:  From mile marker 3.3 to 0.6 (from 1/10 mile after the Monroe Street overpass to 1/10 mile before the Rudder Road overpass)
Why:    Duct bank work
 
When:   Sunday, April 3 - Saturday, April 9, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Saturday, April 9 - Sunday, April 10, 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:    Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where:  From mile marker 5.7 to 3.3 (from 5/10 mile before the Reston Parkway overpass to 1/10 mile past the Monroe Street overpass)

When:   Saturday, April 2, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
What:    Left lane closed
Where:  Between mile 12.0 and 10.4 (from 3/10 mile past the mainline toll plaza to the Broad Run bridge)
Why:     Road work
 
When:   Monday, April 4 - Friday, April 8, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
What:    Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where:  Between mile marker 7.6 and 12.2 (from Broadlands Boulevard to 2/10 mile before the mainline toll plaza), short lane closures of varying lengths will occur

Dulles Greenway West
 
When:   Saturday, April 2, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
What:    Left lane closed
Where:  Between mile 10.4 and 12.0 (from the Broad Run bridge to 3/10 mile before the mainline toll plaza)

When:   Monday, April 4 - Friday, April 8, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
What:   Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where:  Between mile marker 12.2 and 7.6 (from 2/10 mile after the mainline toll plaza to Broadlands Boulevard), short lane closures of varying lengths will occur

When:   Monday, April 4 - Thursday, April 7, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Friday, April 8, 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Where:  From the Dulles Toll Road overpass to the ramp to Frying Pan Road.

Where:  From the Commerce Center Court to Mercure Circle.

When:   Monday, April 4 - Thursday, April 7, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Friday, April 8, 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
What:    Right lane closed
Where:  Between the Fairfax County Parkway and Reston Parkway

Sunrise Valley Drive West
 
When:   Monday, April 4 - Friday, April 8, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
What:    Right lane closed
Where:  Westbound Sunrise Valley Drive from Dulles Technology Boulevard to 550 feet past Dulles Station Boulevard
