REMINDER: Tower Crane Assembly will Close Lanes on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway this Weekend, July 11-13

REMINDER: Tower Crane Assembly will Close Lanes on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway this Weekend, July 11-13
 

On or about July 11 through 13, Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews will assemble a tower crane in the median of the Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) just east of Route 28. The crane will be used for construction of the Silver Line's future Innovation Center Station.

A tower crane, similar to the one shown above, will  be assembled in the median of the DIAAH.

Work will take place during day and night hours. Single left lane closures will occur according to the following schedule:

Saturday, July 11, 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. (see Drawing A)

Eastbound DIAAH between mile markers 1.5 and 2.0

Westbound DIAAH between mile markers 2.3 and 1.8

Saturday, July 11, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (see Drawing B)

The ramp from the westbound DTR to the westbound DIAAH at mile marker 3.3 (1/10 mile west of the Monroe Street overpass) will be closed. Drivers may enter the DIAAH at the next ramp, located at mile marker 1.8.

Sunday, July 12, 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. (see Drawing A)

Westbound DIAAH between mile markers 2.3 and 1.8

Monday, July 13, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (see Drawing A)

Westbound DIAAH between mile markers 2.3 and 1.8

Drivers are asked to use caution and remain attentive to all signage, barricades, adjusted speed limits. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the highway at various times. 

All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
