Aerial Guideway Construction Continues Along Air Freight Lane at Dulles International Airport on Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

On or about Oct. 5 and continuing through the fall months, Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews will continue setting concrete girders and constructing the deck of the Silver Line's aerial guideway along Air Freight Lane at Dulles International Airport in the vicinity of the Cargo 5 building.

Lane and road closures will occur from 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.:

  • Package Court will be closed at the Air Freight Lane intersection as needed for safety.
  • Air Freight Lane will be flagged for safety as needed, and Cargo 5 bays will be accessible with flagger assistance. Four 20-minute stoppages will occur.
  • The Cargo 5 traffic will use either Air Freight Lane or the Cargo 5 parking lot circulator road.

Drivers should exercise caution, pay attention to barrier and signage and obey all flagger instructions.

All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
