Attention commuters, business owners, residents and shoppers along Route 7 in Tysons Corner!

Starting the week of July 2, Dulles Rail Project crews will be doing work at manholes along east and westbound Route 7 in areas between Tyco Road/Westwood Center Drive and Chain Bridge Road (Route 123).

This work will require some closings of a single lane of east and westbound lanes.

Here is the work schedule:
  • On Monday, July 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the left thru lane of westbound Route 7 from Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) to Westpark Drive will be closed. Driveways will not be blocked.
  • On Friday, July 6, the right thru lane of eastbound Route 7 just east of Spring Hill Road (near Sheehy Infinity) to the start of driveway into Sheehy Infinity east just before Route 123 (near Wendy's and Koons dealership) will be closed from 9:30 a.m.to 12 noon.
Access to businesses will be maintained during work periods. All businesses and residential properties in these areas are being advised in advance of the work. A special hotline is being set up so callers can report problems with the above work immediately. That number is 571-282-8549.

In addition, other rail project crews continue to make repairs at bus stops on the side of westbound Route between Spring Hill and Tyco road is on-going weekdays.

All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

Signs and barrels will be used to help direct traffic and minimize impacts.  Police will be on hand to assist with traffic management.  Drivers should use extreme caution in the areas and allow extra time to travel in these areas.
