Manhole Work Continues Along Eastbound and Westbound Route 7 in Tysons,    Aug. 27 - 31
 
On Monday, Aug. 27, through Friday, Aug. 31, Dulles Rail Project crews will perform daytime work at manholes along eastbound and westbound Route 7 in Tysons Corner. See below for more detailed information.
 
This work will require a single right lane closure along eastbound and westbound Route 7.
 
Here is the work schedule:
 
Route 7 East
 
When:   Monday, Aug. 27 - Tuesday, Aug. 28, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
What:    Close right lane
Where:  From 100 feet before Westwood Center Road (near the Walmart) to 300 feet after Spring Hill Road (Sheehy Infiniti of Tysons)
Why:     Survey storm structure
 
Route 7 East
 
When:   Tuesday, Aug. 28 - Wednesday, Aug. 29, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
What:    Close right lane
Where:  From 100 feet before Spring Hill Road (Sheehy Infiniti of Tysons)
to 300 feet after Gosnell Road (Shell gas station and Stohlman Volkswagen)
Why:     Survey storm structure
 
Route 7 East
 
When:   Tuesday, Aug. 28 - Thursday, Aug. 30, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
What:    Close right lane
Where:  From 100 feet before Gosnell Road (Shell gas station and Stohlman Volkswagen) to 300 feet after Marshalls Road (Greensboro Metrorail Station)
Why:     Survey storm structure
 
Route 7 West
 
When:   Friday, Aug. 31, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
What:    Close right lane
Where:  From 100 feet before Tyco Road (Audi of Tysons Corner) to 100 feet before Route 267 ramp
Why:     Survey storm structure
 
Driveways will not be blocked. Access to businesses will be maintained during work periods.
A special hotline is being set up so callers can report problems with the above work immediately. That number is 571-238-2027.
 
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
 
Signs and barrels will be used to help direct traffic and minimize impacts.  Police will be on hand to assist with traffic management.  Drivers should use extreme caution in the areas and allow extra time to travel in these areas.
