Nighttime Detour on Westbound Dulles Toll Road
Friday, July 27 at 10 p.m. through Saturday, July 28 at 6 a.m.

On or about Friday, July 27 at 10 p.m. through Saturday, July 28 at 6 a.m. (with a backup date of Saturday, July 28 at 10 p.m. through Sunday, July 29 at 6 a.m.), the westbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR) will be detoured to local roads for pedestrian bridge installation activities at the Herndon Metrorail Station. See details below.
 
 
Friday, July 27, 10 p.m. to Saturday, July 28, 6 a.m.:
  • All westbound traffic on the DTR will exit the highway at the Fairfax County Parkway (Exit 11) near mile marker 4.6.
  • Traffic will be directed via signage and police to take southbound Fairfax County Parkway to Sunrise Valley Drive west, and then take Centreville Road north to return to the westbound DTR.
  • The ramps from southbound Fairfax County Parkway and the Herndon-Monroe Park & Ride Garage to the westbound DTR will be closed. Access the westbound DTR will be provided via the detour route.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
 
Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the roadways at various times.
