Herndon-Monroe Park & Ride
Bus Bays "G" and "H" Will Close Aug. 1

Site will be the location for the Herndon Silver Line

Metrorail Station Pedestrian Pavilion and Bridge

On or about Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews will permanently close Bus Bays “G” and “H” at the Herndon-Monroe Park and Ride.

Two changes in Fairfax Connector bus locations will take place as a result of this closure:

1.       Route 950 (westbound) to Herndon–Reston will move to Bus Bay “E”

2.       Route 950 (eastbound) to Wiehle Metro will move to Bus Bay “F” during peak hours (4:15 AM – 9:00 AM; 4:30 PM – 6:45 PM)

NOTE:  Bus Routes 924, 926 and 980, currently providing transportation to the Wiehle-Reston East Metrorail Station, will remain at Bus Bay “E” and continue to operate under their normal schedules.  Please see the drawing below.

Immediately following the closures, demolition of the Bus Bays “G” and “H” area will begin in order to make way for additional construction work, including the Pedestrian Pavilion and Bridge that will connect commuters at the Herndon-Monroe Park & Ride to the Herndon Metrorail Station currently under construction in the median of the Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH).

We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience and thank you for your patience during the Silver Line Phase 2 construction. Please remember that all work is weather dependent and subject to change.
