Weekend Detour of the Eastbound Dulles Airport Access Highway
Friday, Oct. 27 at 10 p.m. to Saturday, Oct. 28 at 5 a.m.
 
On or about Friday, Oct. 27 at 10 p.m. to Saturday, Oct. 28 at 5 a.m., the eastbound Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) will be diverted to the Dulles Toll Road (DTR) between Centreville Road and the Fairfax County Parkway while Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews continue construction of the pedestrian bridges that will provide access to the Silver Line's Herndon Metrorail Station.  See details below.
 
Friday, Oct. 27, 10 p.m. to Saturday, Oct. 28, 5 a.m.
  • Eastbound DIAAH traffic between mile markers 2.7 and 4.0 will be diverted to the left lane of the eastbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR). See Figure 1.
  • Eastbound DIAAH traffic to the Fairfax County Parkway will be diverted to the Dulles Toll Road at mile marker 1.8. Signage will be in place to inform drivers.
  • Eastbound DTR traffic will be restricted to the two right lanes of the EB DTR between mile markers 1.7 and 4.0 (between Route 28 and the Fairfax County Parkway).

  • Eastbound DIAAH traffic will return to the DIAAH at mile marker 4.0, just prior to the Fairfax County Parkway and all lanes will be restored for eastbound DTR use.

All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all police and flagger instructions, signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the highway at various times.
